Cursillo is a Spanish word that means short course. The full title, Cursillios in Christiandad, means short course in Christian living. The Cursillo Movement provides a method for individuals to explore and establish a basic system of belief in a safe Christian environment. Led by both laity and clergy at Camp Beckwith throughout the year, Cursillo weekends serve as starting points for people to solidify their understanding of their life as a member of the body of Christ both personally and as a member in community. Cursillo is intended to help Christians learn what is fundamental as a Christian and how to apply that in personal vocation.
